Meet Jouré

Helping people build lives that work with their brains, not against them

For more than 20 years, I have worked in the field of neurodiversity, supporting children, adults, families, educators, and organisations to better understand how people think, learn, regulate, and function.

Over that time, I noticed something important.

Many people receive valuable assessments, diagnoses, reports, and recommendations, yet still struggle to apply that knowledge in everyday life. The information exists, but the bridge between understanding and practical implementation is often missing.

My work has evolved around helping people cross that bridge.

I often describe myself as an “in-betweener” — someone who operates between clinical theory and real life. I help translate complex neuro-scientific concepts into practical strategies that can be applied at home, in relationships, in education, and in the workplace.

Because knowledge without application changes very little.

My goal has always been to help people understand not only what is happening, but what to do about it.

Professional Background

I am a Fellow of the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (FIFIP), an international recognition awarded to professionals demonstrating leadership and expertise in inclusive practice.

I have worked extensively across a wide range of neurodevelopmental profiles, including:

  • ADHD

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Sensory Processing Differences

  • Executive Function Challenges

  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)

  • Down Syndrome

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Learning Differences and Developmental Delays

Throughout my career I have provided support, training, coaching, consultation, and educational programmes to individuals, families, schools, professionals, and organisations.

I am also the author and developer of multiple internationally recognised CPD-accredited training programmes focused on neurodiversity, executive functioning, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and neuro-inclusive practice.

A Different Perspective

One of the advantages of working in this field for more than two decades is that I have been able to see the full developmental journey.

I have worked with children who later became teenagers, teenagers who became young adults, and adults who are still trying to understand experiences that began many years earlier.

This long-term perspective has shaped the way I approach support.

Rather than focusing solely on diagnoses, I focus on people.

I am interested in how individuals function in the real world:

  • Why capable people become overwhelmed

  • Why intelligent people struggle with consistency

  • Why burnout keeps returning

  • Why traditional productivity advice often fails

  • Why some environments support growth while others create exhaustion

These questions ultimately led to the development of the RESTORE™ Framework, a practical model that helps individuals understand the interaction between regulation, capacity, environment, recovery, and sustainable functioning.

Recognition and Professional Achievements

My work has been recognised both locally and internationally through professional affiliations, training partnerships, and industry recognition.

Highlights include:

  • Fellow of the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (FIFIP)

  • Author and developer of internationally CPD-accredited courses

  • Developer of the RESTORE™ Framework

  • More than 20 years of experience in neurodiversity and disability support

  • Neurodiversity consultant and trainer for organisations and professionals

  • Finalist in the Sanlam Entrepreneur of the Year competition

  • International presenter, trainer, and educator in neurodiversity-related topics

While qualifications and awards are important, I believe what matters most is whether the information makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

That remains the standard by which I measure my work.

Research, Learning, and Global Standards

The field of neurodiversity is evolving rapidly.

New research is continually reshaping our understanding of executive functioning, sensory processing, nervous system regulation, burnout, workplace inclusion, and human performance.

For this reason, I remain actively involved in ongoing professional development and international collaboration.

The courses I develop are internationally CPD accredited and designed to meet rigorous global standards.

More importantly, they ensure that the support I provide remains informed by current evidence rather than outdated assumptions.

My coaching is therefore built on two foundations:

  • More than two decades of practical experience

  • Continuous engagement with emerging research and international best practice

I believe both are necessary.

Experience without learning becomes outdated.

Research without practical application often remains inaccessible.

The most effective support combines both.

What I Believe

I do not believe people need to be “fixed.”

I believe people function best when they understand themselves accurately and create environments that support the way they naturally operate.

Many of the adults I work with have spent years believing they are lazy, disorganised, undisciplined, overly emotional, or simply not trying hard enough.

In reality, many are functioning under chronic overload, unmet sensory needs, unrealistic expectations, nervous system strain, or environments that were never designed for them.

Understanding these patterns creates the possibility for meaningful change.

Not through self-criticism.

Through self-understanding.

My Mission

My mission is simple:

To help people understand themselves more clearly, reduce unnecessary suffering, and build lives that are sustainable, meaningful, and aligned with who they are.

Whether through coaching, education, training, or organisational consultation, my goal is always the same:

To transform knowledge into practical action and help people move from survival to sustainable growth.

I look forward to walking that journey with you.
